Website Opportunity Report

What's working — and what's costing Rodeway Inn & Suites direct bookings — online.

Prepared for: Rodeway Inn & Suites Kamloops
1200 Rogers Way, Kamloops, BC V1S 1N5
Report date: July 9, 2026
Prepared by Tim — owner, Overlander Motel, Chase, BC. I redesigned my own motel's website earlier this year and saw real results; this report applies the same lens to Rodeway Inn & Suites.
Section 1 — Business overview

What Rodeway Inn & Suites does well already

An independent motel on Rogers Way, right off Highway 1 — clean rooms, free continental breakfast and WiFi, and a genuinely strong set of traveler amenities: pet-friendly rooms, truck & RV parking, and EV charging. Minutes from TRU, Aberdeen Mall, and downtown Kamloops.

Section 2 — Current digital presence analysis

Where the online presence currently lives

WebsiteNo owned, direct-booking website — the only online presence is the Choice Hotels franchise listing page, a generic template shared across many Choice properties.
Online reputation3.6/5 on TripAdvisor (252 reviews) — guests consistently praise the location and clean, renovated rooms. Google's own current star rating wasn't independently verifiable through automated research; worth a quick check on your Google Business Profile before this goes out.
Booking systemAll bookings route through Choice Hotels / OTA channels (Booking.com, Expedia, Kayak). No direct-booking capture point exists today.
Customer experienceA guest researching the property meets a generic chain page first — not the actual property, its amenities, or its local character.
Mobile experienceThe Choice Hotels page is technically mobile-functional (chain-maintained), but it's generic and doesn't surface this property's specific amenities.

This is a concept showing what your online presence could become — built around what actually works for a hospitality business, not a generic template.

Section 6 — Why work with us

We understand small hospitality businesses because we operate one

I own the Overlander Motel in Chase, BC. Earlier this year I redesigned our own website — since then we've seen more direct bookings, reduced reliance on OTA platforms for some reservations, and had our two strongest revenue months on record. I'm not a web designer guessing what a hotel website needs; I've lived the exact problem Rodeway Inn & Suites is facing, on my own property, first.
